Lisa Kahn, Founder and CEO
Lisa Kahn-Allen is the founder and CEO of Finding Sanctuary by Lisa Kahn Designs, a purpose-driven design firm rooted in the belief that our environments have the power to shape the way we feel, live, and connect. Raised by an accomplished interior designer who frequently involved her in projects, Lisa was immersed in the world of design from an early age, developing a deep appreciation for the importance of thoughtfully crafted spaces.
After earning her degree in Interior Design & Housing, Lisa began charting her own path—one centered not simply on aesthetics, but on the creation of spaces that nurture wellbeing and inspire intentional living. Through decades of experience designing homes and environments for clients around the world, Lisa came to understand that sanctuary is far more than a beautiful place. It is a daily practice, a mindset, and a guiding principle for how we choose to live. In 2000, she founded her eponymous firm, which has since evolved into Finding Sanctuary by Lisa Kahn Designs, where she leads a talented team providing highly personalized interior design, furnishings, and turnkey project management services for residential and commercial clients alike. Every project is guided by the belief that thoughtfully designed environments can foster peace, balance, and a deeper connection to oneself and the world around us.
Lisa’s distinctive perspective on wellness-centered and intentional design has established her as a respected voice within the industry. A writer, public speaker, advocate, and philanthropist, she is frequently invited to share her insights on the relationship between design, wellness, sustainability, and sanctuary as a way of living. Furthering this mission, Lisa is also the founder of Finding Sanctuary Institute, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating and providing resources for designers, artisans, and creatives seeking to cultivate a more sanctuary in their own lives and practices.
